The Chi-square value is calculated for a table of frequencies with r-rows and c-
columns where expected frequencies are contingent upon row and column totals. This Chi-square has (r-1)(c-1) degrees of freedom. Expected frequencies should not be too small (i.e. not more than 20% less than 5) to justify using the Chi-square distribution. |
